Crowns & Bridges
Trusted Dental Care At Smile Plus Dentistry
Crowns and bridges are dental prostheses used to repair broken teeth. The procedure can restore both the appearance and functionality of the teeth. At Smile Plus Dentistry, our skilled dentists use premium materials for the treatment, resulting in long-lasting restorations for the patient.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are teeth-shaped caps that are placed on a tooth that has lost some or all of its structure. They not only repair the shape and size of damaged or missing teeth, but they also improve their overall appearance. Crowns are used to hide discolored or deformed teeth, protect teeth with big fillings, and make cosmetic improvements.
If you need a crown to replace a damaged or badly decayed tooth, your dentist will take an impression of your tooth or digitally scan the tooth. They will be able to select the optimal shape and color for your replacement tooth.
Zirconia crowns are a type of crown that uses digital dental technology. With this technology, the crowns can be created in-house or by a lab and customized to fit your tooth.
Your dentist will take an impression of your tooth or will digitally scan the tooth. This impression will be sent to a CEREC machine either in the office or the lab. It will then mill a crown out of a block of Zirconia. Once your crown is finished, your dentist will check the fit and color. If everything is correct, the crown will be bonded to your tooth.

Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are prostheses that are made up of two crowns and an artificial tooth or teeth that are placed between or next to them. It aids in the replacement of a missing tooth or group of lost teeth in the mouth. The teeth impressions or digital image are delivered to the dental lab for manufacturing. The final product is attached to the teeth with dental cement.
Before your dental expert can make your bridge, the teeth on the outside edges of the area of loss will be decreased in size so that your bridge will fit properly on them unless the bridge is placed on implants.
- Dental bridges keep remaining teeth from shifting and cover the gap caused by missing teeth.
- Bridges can be custom-made to match your natural teeth.
- Bridges allow you to chew and bite food again.
- Dental bridges can survive for many years if properly maintained.
